Information pursuant to the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).
The protection of your privacy is of central importance to us. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and the Federal Telecommunications Act (TCA). Our service is directed at persons residing in Switzerland. The following statement informs you of which data we process when and for what purpose.
Wealth4Life AG
Wilenstrasse 24, CH-8832 Wilen bei Wollerau
Email: privacy@wealth4.life
On registration we collect your email address, a cryptographically secured password hash (the password itself is never stored in plain text) and optional personal details. These data are used to provide your user account and to communicate with you.
To use the financial planning features you voluntarily enter information about income, assets, pensions, real estate, taxes and other personal financial circumstances. Individual scenarios may also involve sensitive personal data (e.g. assumptions about disability or health-related risks); such information is likewise entered voluntarily and is used exclusively to compute your personal scenarios. Scenarios may also contain information about other persons, such as spouses, partners and family members; please enter such information only if you are entitled to do so. The data are stored on infrastructure located in Switzerland and protected by appropriate technical and organisational measures; data in transit is encrypted. We do not pass them on to third parties for advertising or sales purposes.
When you visit our website, technical data (IP address, browser type, operating system, referrer URL, access time) are processed insofar as this is required for the provision, security and stability of the platform. Log files are anonymised or deleted after a maximum of 90 days.
We use only technically necessary cookies (e.g. session cookie, anti-forgery token, language setting). We do not use analytics or marketing cookies. Should we introduce such cookies in the future, we will inform you in advance and, where required, obtain your consent.
For the newsletter we process your email address after sign-up using a double-opt-in procedure; you can unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link. If you publish posts on the blog, this content, including author details, is publicly visible. Video consultations run on infrastructure operated by us; recordings are made only with your express consent. For file exchange with advisors, files are stored in encrypted form; access is restricted to the persons you have authorised and, to the extent required for operations and support, to authorised staff. To protect our forms we use a self-hosted captcha (Altcha); no data is transmitted to third parties in the process.
For signed-in users we record an internal usage statistic for product improvement and support: which functional areas you visit and which selected actions you trigger (e.g. signing in, creating a scenario, generating a report), each with a timestamp together with the subscription plan and organisation in effect at the time of use. If a technical error occurs during use, we additionally record the error category and the technical error type (no content), as well as the server instance that handled the request. The content and input data of your scenarios are not recorded. We retain the raw data for 90 days; afterwards only anonymous daily counts with no link to a person remain. Processing takes place exclusively in Switzerland; the data is not disclosed to third parties. When your account is deleted, the raw data linked to you is deleted with it.
We process personal data in particular for the following purposes:
We do not take automated individual decisions that would have legal effects on you or significantly affect you (Art. 21 FADP).
We disclose personal data only insofar as this is necessary to perform the contract, where there is a legal basis or where you have expressly consented. The processors we use include in particular Infomaniak SA (Switzerland) for hosting and email delivery and Wallee AG (Switzerland) for payment processing — your card and payment details are collected directly by the payment service provider and are not stored on our platform. Video consultations and the captcha run on our own infrastructure without involving external services. All processors are contractually obliged to comply with data protection requirements. Transfers to countries outside Switzerland only take place with appropriate safeguards in place (e.g. Standard Contractual Clauses) or where Switzerland recognises the country as providing an adequate level of protection. As long as you have not activated the AI features, no personal data is disclosed abroad; all processing takes place in Switzerland.
The AI-assisted features (chat assistant, AI-drafted report texts, semantic help search) are disabled by default. Data is transmitted to AI providers only after you have expressly activated the AI features in your account.
Once you have activated the AI features, we transmit the data required for the respective feature – namely your input in the chat, the key figures of your scenarios for report texts and your search queries – to specialised processors outside Switzerland (see below). The transfer is based on appropriate safeguards within the meaning of Art. 16 FADP; the providers use the data solely to provide the service and not to train their models.
You can deactivate the AI features again at any time under Account › Privacy. The withdrawal takes effect immediately for all future processing; data already transmitted is not affected.
The statement “Your data stays in Switzerland” used in our services refers to the personal data processed by Wealth4Life AG. Card details for payments are entered by you directly on the secured page of Wallee AG; their further processing via the card networks is the responsibility of Wallee AG (section 4).
This list is updated whenever a provider changes; the version in force at the time of use is authoritative.
You may voluntarily share your scenario data with an advisor (e.g. within an advisory relationship). Sharing takes place solely at your initiative, is limited to the scope you select and can be revoked at any time. For the processing of shared data within their own advisory activity, the advisor is an independent data controller. Where the platform is operated under the brand of a partner organisation (white label), the allocation of data protection roles between Wealth4Life AG and the partner organisation depends on the respective operating and contractual model; data subjects are informed accordingly within the respective offering. Unless stated otherwise, Wealth4Life AG is the controller.
Invoicing, payment and other accounting-relevant data are retained in accordance with statutory retention obligations, as a rule for ten years (Art. 958f Swiss Code of Obligations). Account and scenario data are deleted or anonymised within 180 days after termination of the contract, unless a legal obligation or an overriding interest requires further retention. Our processors likewise store transmitted data only for as long as is necessary to provide the respective service.
